Graduates earn 1,878 degrees, certificates from Colorado Mesa University


About 22.4 percent of the 1,878 degrees and certificates handed out by the Colorado Mesa University in 2016-17 were to students in Health Professions and Related Programs programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Junction conferred 193 certificates and 129 bachelor's degrees in Health Professions and Related Programs programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in Business/Commerce, General. Data shows the school gave out 185 bachelor's degrees in Business/Commerce, General, followed by 132 bachelor's degrees in Kinesiology and Exercise Science and 106 bachelor's degrees in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse.

The university enrolled 9,735 students for 2016-17, including 9,595 in undergraduate programs and 140 in graduate programs.
