About 17.6 percent of the 484 degrees and certificates handed out by the Western State Colorado University in 2016-17 were to students in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Gunnison conferred 85 bachelor's degrees in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services programs.
But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, General. Data shows the school gave out 73 bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Management, General, followed by 45 bachelor's degrees in Kinesiology and Exercise Science and 42 bachelor's degrees in Biology/Biological Sciences, General.
The university enrolled 2,908 students for 2016-17, including 2,498 in undergraduate programs and 410 in graduate programs.
