Graduates earn 1,118 degrees from Adams State University


About 39.5 percent of the 1,118 degrees and certificates handed out by Adams State University in 2017-18 were to students in liberal arts and sciences, general studies and humanities programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Alamosa conferred 373 associate's degrees and 41 bachelor's degrees in liberal arts and sciences, general studies and humanities programs.

But the single most popular program was for a master's degree in teacher education, multiple levels. Data shows the school gave out 200 master's degrees in teacher education, multiple levels, followed by 195 associate's degrees in liberal arts and sciences/liberal studies and 178 associate's degrees in general studies, liberal arts and sciences, and other humanities.

The university enrolled 3,314 students for 2017-18, including 1,960 in undergraduate programs and 1,354 in graduate programs.
