(Sponsored content) – Morsi Mansour of Miami, works as a part-time driver for Uber and appreciates the flexibility of gig work.

"When I get tired or sick, I can stop working," Mansour told Florida Business Daily. "When I am busy with something else, I can just stop working. I can just come off the application and do what I want to do, and then I can open it again and start working again. So that looks pretty good. It's a good thing about Uber."

He explored gig work because he was looking "to have an extra income," Mansour said. He also discussed the hours he worked and how often he worked for the company.

"Currently, I work after sunset from about late in the evening till around midnight or after midnight" Mansour said. "Mostly at weekends and ... like, three times or three days or four days a week maximum."

Mansour also makes sure to take breaks from driving at appropriate times.

"Sometimes because, you know, I have to do something else, I can stop working," he said. "When I need, I can work. When I don’t need, I can’t work. I can stop working."

Mansour discussed his most memorable customer.

"You know, a lot of what I have to say about someone who left something in the car," Mansour said, recounting a lady and her daughter who left a new iPhone in the car that his next client told him about. "After a while, I dropped this guy and I received a call from her and she told me, ‘I left my phone. And please, I need my phone.’"

He closed the Uber app and went to the restaurant where he had dropped the two women off.

"They went inside the restaurant and she was the lady was with other guys eating, and she was surprised that I came quickly and I give the girl the phone. And she was very happy and jumped up from the table and she told me, ‘Can I hug you?’ And she gave me a hug. And her mother came to me too and hugged me, thanking me a lot. And so then I left. 'Enjoy your dinner, bye.' Well, it was very nice to see the girl very happy that you get their new phone back."

Mansour also discussed some challenges of working for Uber.

"Actually, currently I'm suffering a little bit as well because my car is financed and my monthly payment for the car as a finance is $704 a month," Mansour said. "And by working Uber and paying for this car is making it hard to cover the expenses of the car that fuel, the finance, the maintenance, the tire maintenance, the cleaning of the car is a lot of expenses, and with the current rate of Uber sharing is not making it rewarding. Doesn't make it."
